It is overlooked by a magnificent Byzantine castle which is a monument to the area’s coastal history. By day the harbour is peaceful and relaxed and after sunset it comes alive with restaurants, tavernas and locals enjoying an evening stroll.

Bellapais Village meaning ‘beautiful place’ is home to the dramatic Bellapais Abbey, one of the most majestic sights of the island. The abbey hosts international music concerts throughout the year and can been seen from Villa Olivia. Bellapais is nestled in the mountains and has a number of good restaurants.
